Bringing together all those organisations that work to provide Jewish cultural events and activities for the British public as part of Britain's cultural diversity

Throughout the world, Jews have excelled in the arts, as creators, producers, directors, interpreters, practitioners, promoters, patrons and audiences. Their contribution to culture and the arts in all countries where they have settled over the centuries is widely acknowledged.

What may not so widely known is the wellspring of all this, the culture of the Jewish people themselves. From the ancient melodies of the temple chant (the seeds of Gregorian chant and sacred music) the words of The Book (the basis of so much literature) through the many facets of cultural activity in many lands and languages, over centuries, there are elements both profound and inconsequential that make up a rich and diverse Jewish culture that touches us all.

It is this wide-ranging and ever developing culture, that the member individuals and organisations of the Association of Jewish Culture Providers present to the British public in the form of exhibitions, talks, concerts, literature events, lectures, seminars, theatrical events and courses.

Association members recognize that the vibrancy of contemporary Jewish culture and that the growing interest in cultural production on Jewish themes, necessitate a strategic approach and a professional network for the sharing of expertise, marketing and promotion opportunities and the raising of funds.
